news.aol.com/article/cash-strapped-fort-ticonderoga-weighs/126506?cid=35its a shame to see such a land mark fall on hard times being from upstate new york originally i have visited fort ti many times the last was summer of 2000 (last time i visited family in that area) and was glad to take my wife and son to see the treasure there have been many improvements to the area over the years with the restorations is this a case of the ft ti association not giving the billionaires what they wanted and them saying we are taking our money away because there isnt enough stuff named after us or just the time and money it takes to do things properly and them not being happy that things take too long what i find hard to believe that it is not part of the national parks or monument system and run by the government

It is a shame if they have to sell off some of the art to make money. There are many historic places that have similar problems, but none that I am aware of that is as significant as Fort Ticonderoga. Its a shame that a place like this is caught in the middle of an ego war between these folks.
