According to the "experts" we will only be getting some intermittent tropical storm winds 40 - 50 mph. Fortunately that will not be bad in the scheme of things. We will however be getting lots of rain, unfortunately not scooter riding weather! BB, consider this just a dress rehearsal, and hopefully we will not get a real one this year.

Although TS Fay is way north of us, we are still feeling the effect. Today the weather get very ugly very quickly. At around lunch time, the sun was out and the sky was blue so I went to my favorite burger joint to have lunch, then get a haircut and put some more SR flyers on unsuspecting scooters. After about an hour, all of the sudden the sky got dark and the wind started blowing. We are still being affected by the feeder bands from TS Fay. I was riding home trying to beat the rain when it felt that a gust of wind was going to blow the scooter out from under me while I was going 30 mph. That was a bit scary. Thankfully, I kept control of the scooter and made it home in one piece. As I was first writing this post, lightning struck and the power went out. I started fumbling around for the damn flashlight in the dark, and freakdog thought that we were playing so it became very interesting when i had a 60 pound mutt jumping all over me in the dark! LOL

Wow - sounds like an eventful day. Glad to hear you made it home safely. I think the Met's are pushed around a lot more by wind that the Ruckus or Vino, just what I can tell when senor and I ride. He never seems to have problems and the wind will push me all over the road.
