I guess I'll start from the beginning...
TT decided that she wanted to get a new scooter after her 05 Avanti Beta 50 shit all over its self and died. So she was trying to find a Yamaha Vino because we had a spare engine and I already knew enough about to to fix most problems. Well the gods didn't allow her to get a Vino so we decided to head over to the Honda shop and look at the Metropolitans. That's when I saw it. A 2008 Honda Ruckus. I immediately fell in love, so I decided to research them. I found tons of information and had a whole new world of modding introduced to me. A couple days later I went to Honda to see if I could buy a Ruckus. Unfortunately my credit wasn't established long enough to get a loan unless I had a co-signer. I decided to come back when I had more cash. Two weeks and 1000 dollars later I was signing the loan papers for my new Ruckus. As I started to drive home I wondered if I had made a mistake. I was only doing 30 down a flat road, which was laughable compared to my Vino. I decided to give it at least until break-in before I regretted my mistake. A few days later the Ruck was purring and scooting along at 43mph and I had a smile from ear to ear.
Shortly after getting the Ruckus we took our first trip to Skyline Drive and the Ruck hauled my 200+lbs carcass up a steep hill at a whopping 20mph. I thought again, maybe I had made a mistake. This thought quickly vanished once I got off the scoot and took a good look at it. The I whispered into its ear(turn signal) "You'll be fast one day..."

ok cant wait to see pics i saw one today with ammo cans mounted to the sides for storage Holy shit! Locally or on the web. If you saw them around town I think I know who that is...I saw some pics/posts on totalruckus of a ruck with ammo cans. I thought about doing the same until I hear of how much drag they create. I may still do it but I will need to fiberglass a more aerodynamic shell for the front of them.

Well, once I went back to find out what TR member had ammo cans I realized how common of a mod it was. Anyhoo, if you see that person chase em down next time and tell em about our forum.(Dont worry you'll easily catch them) Maybe these next to week during annual training I'll try to score some free ammo cans for my ruck

i would get 3 on for each side and you can cut the 3rd up to make the front of the two you mount more areodynamic i think that would look better then trying to make something out of fiberglass for the front and would be easier if you have acess to a welder and can weld ill keep an eye out for them if i get my printer fixed ill make some cards to leave on scoots around town

Well when I stop being so damn lazy ill eventually get some pics up, its just harder because my laptop broke so now I have to juggle my things around to post pics.
As far as progress... I relocated the horn back inside the battery box like it is everywhere else in the world, except the US.
I bored out the exhaust stinger for the stock 1/2in. to a full inch. Along with drilling for 1/8in holes in the wall of the third chamber. So far this has made the scoot a bit louder/deeper sounding and relieved back pressure at higher speeds, while still allowing pressure to build at low speeds.

I went to a construction site and got some of the orange net fencing and surrounded the open area underneath my seat so I could have some sort of storage there.
I also got some bmx pegs from walmart and some galvanized bolts and attached to the rucks frame to act as foot pegs. Where the are it gives it a more sporty stance and they also work well foot pegs for the passenger if your carrying one.

Okay, you keep teasing us with all of the updates on RuckWild, but you have not posted pictures!!! You know this is going to drive me nuts(er)! I really want to see how you created the storage area under your seat. As for the foot pegs, I am having trouble picturing it, so pics of that would be helpful too!
