start by gathering your tools
12 mm wrench or ratchet
a way to measure and fill your diff
a container to drain oil into
(always properly dispose of used oil no matter how small amount)
your new oil
i use the same measuring cup to drain and fill my diff that way i know how much comes out if you dont get the full amount out you could have a leak or the oil wasnt warm enough
now take the scoot for a ride the thick diff oil drains better if its warm
locate the fill cap and the drain plug
remove the fill cap place your drain pan under the drain plug and remove drain plug
inspect the washer (drain)and o ring(fill) on the plugs
now the oil is drained check the oil for stuff that shouldnt be there(metal flakes you may find some the first time you change the diff oil at 600 mi)
reinstall drain plug
now measure out the proper amount of oil for your diff and fill
2008 manual calls for 110 cc of 85 140 i used 75 140 full synth 1/2 cup = 118 cc
reinstall fill cap (make sure you didnt drop the o ring)
