...riding a scooter?
My first time on a scooter was funny. Señor had his Vino and we went to pick up his friend's Vino so I could ride. We get it, I get on and he takes off. We're on one of those streets where cars are parked on the side. When I took off I had to turn to the right real sharp and in doing so (since it was my first time) I almost hit a parked car. LOL
Before this time, I had only driven around on his Vino in a parking lot at a Food Lion. So getting out on the road was probably not a good idea at the time, but oh well, I survived and now I love scootering!
Tell us about your first time on a scooter!!!!

either a yamahopper or honda trail 70,don't remember exactly, but I was 6 or so and the old man said if i could ride it he would buy it. I couldn't touch the ground. Takeoff was fine but landing wasn't so easy. Slid under a truck in the driveway, got 27 stitches in my forehead, didn't get a scooter.Good times though

My best friend had a vino as his only transportation so he met me at the local college to skate and after a while I got tired of skating so I decided to take his scooter for a ride and BAM! I was hooked. the next week I had my own vino and the rest is history.

I had just taken my new scooter down from my pick-up truck and was eager to ride, so I started it up and drove it for 10 feet on my driveway and almost crashed into the pick up.... totally freaked out. I then took a deep breath and just started riding it. Now I love it.

It's a good thing you didn't crash.. I had a similar experience that I wrote about where I almost hit a parked car my first time. The important thing is that it didn't scare you into not wanting to ride because they're just so damned fun! ;D

good thing you didnt crash you would hate your self for smucking your truck and brand new scoot at the same time
why did you truck it home was the dealership too far away

I trucked it home because the dealer was very far away, I left there at 9:00 pm and having never ridden, I did not want to have my first ride at night. Also, I think that the only way I could get home from the dealer was by taking two interstates, not conducive to scooting!!! I must say that although it was firmly tied down on the truck's bed, I was afraid that somehow I would drop and lose my new baby. lol

One time I helped my friend transport his scoot on my dads truck. Well we didn't tie it down enough and we hit a bump and BAM the scoot slid to its side and bent the mirror. Now I know how to tie it down better. Atleast I learned on his though
