I know this has been covered in other forums out there, but I am curious as to the type of helmets (if any) you guys wear and why. I have a brain bucket which I use most and a 3/4 helmet that I hardly ever use. I am considering getting a full face helmet after reading stuff elsewhere, but I would like your insights on helmets before I decide, since you all have been riding longer than I. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I wear a 3/4 helmet, always with the visor down. I know most people spring for the FF, but I feel safe in mine and I'm most comfortable when I'm not confined in a small space like I would be in a FF helmet.

i have ff helmets all of mine have snell ratings because the local short track requires the rating to race i would alway recommend a ff over anything else for the best protection but my second recommendation is to wear what ever you feel comfortable in a ff is no good if it sits in your storage area and are not on your head

thanks! i may have to look into that, not big into FF helmets though, too closed in for me but I can keep trying to get comfortable with them, would be great in a modular, but that color could be a definite possibility for matching the Met

Both of my helmets are FF. When I got my Ruck I bought a new modular from HJC and I love it! Its way better than my fulmer which is just a ol regular FF. Under you should try out a modular helmet which is a good mix between FF and 3/4.

That's the exact same helmet that I have, only mine is black. It's awesome, but when you get it make sure you get a size thats feels snug because the padding will eventually break-in and fell right.

I certainly am glad to hear that there's someone else out there who isn't wearing an FF helmet. I have a 3/4 and just kind of got the impression that EVERYONE else was a die hard FF person. I know it's safer, but it's so friggin' hot here, I think I'd melt inside a FF helmet.

Living in south FLA, a ff helmet will not be my primary helmet, especially when it is so hot. I did order a ff, but will use it sparingly and will not be my priimary. Right now I am using a 3/4 helmet that I found online. It actually matches my scoot. But I am with you on a 3/4 helmet comfortable!.
